Topics to discuss

• events and event handlers
• when & how to load javascript
• timeouts, async, await, promises, ... tricky stuff. ;)

• AJAX : reaching out for data ...
  • ... but tools like jquery (or the stuff built in to a framework) are more typical
  • discuss: what is an "API key" ... what is "auth"

next assignment

This week we'll continue looking at javascript client side, expanding into (a) a common library and (b) the "AJAX" idea, of fetching data from another website using javascript and displaying it on your website ... I described the basic idea during class, and will do a demo on Monday.
